In 1899, Mauro’s grandmother Sabina Rinelli cultivated wild rosemary, lavender, and sage across the sunlit fields of Puglia, Italy—crafting aromatherapy elixirs for her village. Three generations later, her grandson would carry those botanical traditions to the studios of Vidal Sassoon, the clinics of Foggia, and eventually, Rodeo Drive.

Mauro Spina trained as a trichologist in Italy, mastering the science of scalp health and hair vitality. But it was his childhood—gathering fresh herbs on his grandfather’s bicycle, watching his grandmother blend essential oils by hand—that taught him something no textbook could: that true hair care begins at the root, nourished by nature’s precision.

In 1994, Mauro introduced his first aromatherapy line, custom-blending formulas for a devoted clientele first on trendy Melrose Avenue and then later in Beverly Hills. For nearly three decades, those preparations remained within the studio—refined, whispered about, but never widely available.
